STUDIO FAQ.
Q: Is this group therapy?
A: Nope! While the groups are facilitated by those with mental health backgrounds, they are not group therapy.
Q: So what can I expect at group?
A: To leave feeling better than when you walked in! 50 minutes dedicated to movement, conversation & ultimately, connection. We spend the first ~20 minutes moving our bodies. This may consist of activities like stationary cycling or bodyweight exercises. The second half of class we hang out, chat & simply connect with one another.
Q: What do we talk about?
A: Anything & everything! Group members are encouraged to share what's on their minds and more often than not, the conversation flows organically. Topics that often come up include: school stress, friendship dynamics, self-esteem, coping strategies and more.
Q: Are there new participants each week?
A: Nope! All groups are closed groups. We like to keep the members consistent from week to week which allows us to build relationships, establish trust & foster a sense of community within each cohort.
Q: How long does one group run?
A: We meet weekly* for 6 weeks (*Occasionally we skip a week due to a holiday. The final schedule is communicated prior to start). Our summer camps are typically week-long programs.
Q: What if I know I can't make it one week?
A: Don't sweat it; we know conflicts arise so we have accounted for this in the overall investment. But please do your very best to commit to all sessions- your groupmates are counting on you!
Q: How do I join?
