Individual
In our time together, we will do more than just chat about what’s on your mind. We will play games, complete activities, and most importantly: we will always dedicate a portion of our session to moving our bodies. This may mean we go for a walk outdoors, hop on the stationary bike or get creative and just MOVE!
Groups
Whatever you’re going through, there is a VERY good chance that there are others experiencing something similar! Our small groups are confidential, comfortable spaces for you to connect with others, gain confidence in who you are and explore ways to deal with the intense feelings you may be experiencing. We begin each group with a physical activity and empower one another to feel comfortable sharing our experiences when it comes time to talk.
Caregiver Collaboration
Family engagement is key. Every couple of months, I encourage a meeting with a child’s caregivers. These meetings are held virtually (30 minutes, 1x/month), to allow for the utmost flexibility in your schedule. The purpose of these meetings is to share how things are going during sessions, relay strategies, hear your perspective on how your child is functioning outside of sessions and ultimately, to lend support. After all, it takes a team! Research shows that kids benefit most from mental health supports when caregivers are involved. YOUR participation is key!
